Our Advanced Surveillance Training course is aimed at those wanting to gain access to the private and commercial surveillance industry or those whom already have a basic understanding of surveillance and would like to add to their skills, knowledge and abilities. As with our more basic course, it covers a myriad of surveillance types, with the addition of some more complex scenarios that are regularly encountered. The course also incorporates the BTEC level 3 for Professional Investigators Qualification.

The BTEC level 3 for Professional Investigators Qualification, is the SIA recommend course which is a mandatory requirement when applying for the SIA Professional Investigators license.

Course Overview:

The course syllabus is focused on developing the skills necessary to operate covertly and successfully as a surveillance operative. In addition to the skills covered on the 5 day Basic course, the Advance course covers a wider spectrum of the surveillance arena and enables the progression from being a proficient operative to an operative with an enhanced skill set, greater awareness and the ability to produce a superior result more often, through increased adaptability and understanding.

The course combines classroom based theory and learning with realistic scenario based, field exercises, carried out on foot or in a vehicle, to develop the knowledge gained in the classroom and give an accurate taste of the daily situations likely to be encountered. The syllabus will take each applicant from a working knowledge of the industry through the equipment and skills needed to operate professionally. It will also focus on enhancing those skills, detailing their use in several more advanced scenarios, before explaining the codes of practice, legislation, laws and finally offering successful applicants help into employment. All equipment such as vehicles, covert radios, and cameras are supplied.

Applicant Requirements:

There are no formal prerequisites however applicants must be in generally good health, be English literate both spoken and written and attend appropriately attired. Applicants must have a full UK driving license.

Course Cost:

£1295.00 plus VAT (£1554.00) inclusive of, daily lunches, use of all equipment, final exam and certification.
